On 21st April 2026, E-Net Philippines held a the E-Net Budget Forum, bringing together representatives from government, civil society and the broader education sector.

The event titled “Strategic Investments to Reach the Marginalized Learners and Strengthen Education System capacity for FY 2027” forms part of both E-Net Philippines’ engagement with the FY 2027 national budget process and Global Action Week for Education (GAWE 2026), the annual campaign organised by the Global Campaign for Education, to strengthen the right to education for all.

This year GAWE’s theme was education financing, with civil society across the world calling for decision-makers to “Hold the Flame High” for education by supporting sustained, equitable and accountable investments in public education systems.

At the E-Net Budget Forum, representatives shared insights and strengthened collaborative initiatives, aiming to advance inclusive and equitable education financing. Discussions centered on not only how to increase available funding, but also how to guarantee that resources are distributed equitably and lead to real improvements for learners.

E-Net Philippines continues to work with other key stakeholders to strengthen people-centered, equity-driven investments in education and extends its thanks to all its partners who contributed to the event including: Department of Education (DepEd) —Finance Service, Planning Service, Bureau of Alternative Education (BAE), Bureau of Learning Delivery – Student Inclusion Division (BLD-SID), and the Learner Rights and Protection Office (LRPO), the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), particularly the PH-Open Government Partnership Project Management Office (PH-OGP PMO) and Budget and Management Bureau-F.
